Travel by Train

Travelling to the Academy is easy by train as we are located approximatly 1 mile from the train station in Tamworth. The journey times below should give you an idea of how long it takes to reach us by train:

• Lichfield: 6 minutes
• Burton on Trent: 11 minutes
• Nuneaton: 13 minutes
• Rugeley: 13 minutes
• Birmingham: 15 minutes
• Derby: 20 minutes

Travel by Bus

Staffordshire County Council are introducing a public transport scheme for Under 20’s; a bus pass that’s equivalent to £1 per journey, applicable to school holidays and weekends as well. Further information can be found at the following link:

The Landau Forte Academy Amington (the red marker on the map below) is situated close to the railway station and therefore close to the centre of Tamworth. It is easily accessible by road, rail and other means of public transport. Students are encouraged to cycle and secure parking will be provided for bicycles and motorcycles.
