Landau Forte Academy, Amington opened in September 2010 as another member of the family of schools operated by Landau Forte Charitable Trust. Landau Forte Academy, Amington offers dual specialisms of Science and Business Enterprise.

Academies are independent, all ability state funded schools. They are members of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust movement which now has over 3000 schools.

Whilst the Academy is part of the national network of schools and Academies, it is owned and operated as an independent educational organisation providing free full time education for children from 11 to 19 years old. Currently we have approximately 1050 students. The Academy has been established to bring together the worlds of business, industry and education in a uniquely productive partnership to secure the highest quality education for young people. The Academy opened in existing buildings of the former Woodhouse Business and Enterprise College in September 2010 and will move to new purpose built accommodation for 960 11 - 16 year olds at Amington and 860 16 - 19 year olds on a town centre site adjacent to Queen Elizabeth Mercian School and South Staffordshire College.
